This week I found it impossible to feature just 'Something' beautiful - because I found a whole website where absolutely everything was beautiful - so choosing was especially difficult, but I've forced myself to stick to my 2(ish) favourite things (which means I can come back and show you more stunning things later! In particular things that I'm buying for the big Move - 4 weeks and counting!)

Sisters Guild are commited to finding all things creative and lovely, you can tell how much care and thought goes into the selection of every single thing on their site, Carla and Bekka are clearly so very passionate about their shop and if I could I would buy every single unique and simply enchanting piece - I can't stop clicking and discovering more dreamy things! I can't fully describe the wonderful feeling shopping their collection evokes, picturing something like summer days in a sun speckled glade, with a cupcake picnic and ice cold homemade lemonade - catching fairies in jam jars... magic! Read more...

Sisters Guild Boutique

The online childrenswear store has started it's sale, with brands including Hucklebones and I Love Gorgeous
Sisters Guild was the first online boutique to stock Clothkits, which supply fabric and patterns for you to make their wonderful designs at home. This creative vibe is carried throughout the website in the 'imagine and play' range of activity sets, imaginative gifts and their vintage inspired selection of designers.

Sisters Guild stocks Hucklebones, I Love Gorgeous, Belle & Boo and Dandy Star amongst many other brands. They have now started their January up to 50% off sale, which includes classic pieces such as the Hucklebones dress above.

Chock full of enchanting delights, they’ve got whimsy buys by Hucklebones, Belle and Boo and Maileg, retro treats by Little Duckling and Dandy Star (the small but perfectly formed boys dressing room section is fantastic), plus some granny boho fare by Danish fairtrade brand Rice.dk amongst their delights. Think clothing, accessories, toys, and decor goodies in a cool blend of vintage and retro inspired meets quirky meets charming meets modern.

Sisters Guild is one cool little style destination and definitely one to bookmark and to be led into temptation by!

It's not often a website launches and CLB thinks, wow, I want to buyeverythingSisters Guild, which launched today, also had me properly thinking about Christmas shopping for the first time this year. Stuffed with covetable objects for the home and children, it's a style savvy mummy's dream. But it's also teaming with personality and quirkiness. Founders and sisters Carla de Reyes Mezbur, 32, and Bekka McCarthy, 34, have collected together all their favourite children's fashion, accessories and home labels and presented them on this elegant, personal, easy-to-navigate website. This is just the kind of e-commerce site that Chic Little Baby adores: homegrown, original and selling independent brands.

Further mentions
Very happy to hear that online children’s boutique, Sisters Guild is now open for international ordering. Stocking a range of clothes, toys and decor where, in their own words, “the emphasis is on beauty and creativity”. I defy anyone not to find at least one product they would love to have for their home or children. I struggled to pick such a small number but here are a few of my favourites. Visit for a browse and a treat hereCANDEBOP

Here at BFB we LOVE Sisters Guild a gorgeously illustrated website run by sisters Bekka and Carla filled with beautiful vintage-style finds  inspired by childhood.  The site is our first port of call for inspiration on kids decor, clothing or inspired gifts for little girls and boys. babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk

You know those moments when you see tots so stylish you wonder where their mummies shop?
Well, we’ve discovered the secret… they shop at Sisters Guild.  This online children’s boutique is the definition of good taste.  Founded by sisters Carla and Bekka, the site launched in October 2010 and is fast becoming a go-to for discerning mums.  Stocking brands such as ilovegorgeous, Hucklebones, Little Duckling and Belle & Boo, we were excited to see that they also have a fantastic range of one of our favourite baby brands, aden & anais

Sisters Guild is an online boutique for the imaginative of mind. A beautiful site, filled with black and white pen illustrations and whimsy, Sisters Guild combines relevant design with a homely, nostalgic attitude towards life and motherhood. You will find giftsfor all ages here, and much more besides.
GREAT DESIGN: OLD AND NEW
Filled with pretty and colourful clothes, toys and homewares, there is a lot to explore on this site. Sisters Guild founders, Carla & Bekka, say that they are inspired by ‘imagination, enchanting creations, colour, shape, good design, print and pattern, soft sumptuous fabrics, adventure, starting new traditions, play and intrigue', and the result is a wide-ranging and cheerful collection of cushions, wall stickers, baby dresses, art prints and bunting (and much more). Trawl through the designers; Belle & Boo, Little Ducklings, iLovegorgeous and Rosie Flo are all available here - and you will also find some revitalised vintage favourites, such as Clothkits and PlayPlax!
Look out for Lucky Boy Sunday, a danish duo responsible for some eccentric but beguiling stuffed toys, and Mae with their beautiful wall stickers and dress-up dolls; little girls will love these (and some big girls will too!)
ADDITIONAL TREATS
In addition to all this retail loveliness, the good ladies of the Sisters Guild offer a ‘Monday Makery', a weekly article on the site (accessible via Ideas & Inspiration) offering a craft, or cookery suggestion to help get you and your child's creative juices flowing! These articles are streaming in from the extremely well-maintained Sisters Guild blog, packed with further delights and interest for the creatively-minded vintage/modern mother. Where do they find the time?

Sisters Guild. A sampling of their sale items are pictured above. This gorgeous boutique is offering major discounts on much-loved brands like Little Duckling, Dandy Star, and Rice. URBAN MUMS
And the winter sales are still going strong... If I had a new baby (or needed a new baby gift), I would be very tempted to purchaseAden & Anais swaddling wraps and sleeping bags from Sisters Guild. They are currently on sale!  I've heard wonders about this brand, but didn't find out about them until my kids were a bit older. Have you used them? Do you have a favourite new baby brand or item?
Sisters Guild has more lovely sale items, including melamine dinnerware from Rice, and gorgeous clothes from Hucklebones. Go take a peek...URBAN MUMS

When I saw the gloriousness that is these divine wings made by the fabulous Carla at cool boutique Sisters Guild, I swooned and I’ll definitely be making some for our girls! Starting with an old white pillowcase and layering on plumes of scraps of fabric with some fabric glue followed up with a bit of stitching, me thinks these are well worth the effort. Play with colours and textures for something less girlie or more bug-ish. BAMBINO GOODIES
One of my absolutely most favourite online boutiques Sisters Guild has started their summer sale with up to 60% off clothing and decor delights by fairtrade Danish brand Rice DK as well as Hucklebones, Ilovegorgeous, Little Duckling, Lucky Boy Sunday, Fluke, and Dandy Star. With so much to love, it’ll be difficult to restrain yourself! BAMBINO GOODIES
Inspired by their own children, Sisters Guild is a boutique with the emphasis on beauty and creativity. A design led haven, you’ll find new ideas waiting to become the classics of our generation. From picnics, clothing, imagination and play, to vintage gifts, decor and even things for mama, brands include Rice.dk, Belle & Boo, Dandy Star, I Love Gorgeous, Clothkits, Miller Goodman, Maileg, and Little Duckling. BAMBINO GOODIES
I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again – I love all things Rice, the Danish fairtrade brand that delivers oodles of style in an instantly recognisable mix of colour shots and eclectic print mixes that I always describe as ‘granny boho cool’. Chic spot Sisters Guild have their ‘Kiss’ and ‘Love’ cushion covers featuring striking applique in contrast patterns for £21.50 each as well as velvet floor cushions including the quirky green dove print, £69.50. As usual they wow on the melamine front with their hen print jug (1.75L), £21.50 which is making me think of summer – water and juice by day, Pimms and cocktails when the kids are asleep. They’ve also got peacock tea cosies and coin purses, candelabras, gorgeous fabric covered boxes, patchwork blankets, candle holders, and the a-mazing acrylic framed memo boards, £27, as shown in blue. Swoonage! BAMBINO GOODIES
I am all a flutter having had a look through the Sisters Guild Winter sale. There is temptation left and right from the mix of toys, home wares and clothing. Discounts are from 20% to 40% with HucklebonesLittle Duckling and selected Rice goodies having the bigger discounts. There are some gorgeous MailegEn Gry & Sif Christmas decorations and advent calendars on offer in theChristmas section as well as Rice advent candle holders. Other brands on offer include: Aden & Anais, Ilovegorgeous, Dandy Star and Mini McGhee. BAMBINO GOODIES

Tell Us it's Tuesday: Kat of Housewife Confidential

Today's 'Tell Us' is a special one for us as we have the wonder that is Kat aka @thatkat, blogger of Housewife Confidential , editor for Bambino Goodies, Mum of three and a whole lot more.  Her twitter feed alone is noteworthy as she has a lot of love to give - the definition of 'surfing powers for good'. We were 2 uncertain sisters at the start and Kat embraced us like our true sister mentor.  That's something we will not forget.

Kat herself is incredible - you can see this from her blog Housewife Confidential.  It is an honest and beautiful blog about family life with stunning photos (making Kat a Mad Blog Finalist), delicious recipes, stories and insights that are often very moving and heart-warming.  Kat is someone who inspires, who makes people stop and think and you'll always come away from her blog feeling lifted.  We think Kat's a little bit magic.  She knows a lot of things. We wanted to know a bit more about her.  Here she is...

On waking the first 3 things I do are…. try to go back to sleep, check the time and pick up my phone to checkout blogs/instagram/twitter

If I had a superpower it would be…. endless energy – I never seem to have enough to do everything I dream up

If I could trade places for a day with someone it would be… Jane Foster – I would love to rifle through her fabric collection

If someone wrote a story about me the title would be… greed: a tale of many meals

When I was seven years old I had a lot of rabbits

If you open my fridge you will see…. (I went to look) piles of vegetables, lots of eggs, cheeses, trout fillets, sausages, a big tub of yoghurt, chorizo, chilles and a lot of condiments.

My favourite view is… looking across Beer beach at the cliff top allotments

The 3 things I will tell my children are… look after each other, do what makes you proud, dream big

The song or musical piece for the theme tune of my life is… Mushaboom by Feist

I used to be… a scientist

My biggest guilty pleasures are…
I don’t do guilt!

My wardrobe is…
practically empty – I never manage to put anything away these days.

Never have I ever…
eaten a tomato

My children taught me…
to trust myself

Life is like a…
never ending series of surprises

My earliest memory is….
sneakily drinking a Cinzano & lemonade and then later falling off my stool during Christmas dinner. I was 17 months old.

My underwear drawer …
is filled with beautiful bras from my pre-breast feeding days (I miss them)

I feel like running for the hills when….
I see the thousands of unread emails in my inbox

On my teenage bedroom wall there was
… horse and band posters

My ideal partner would have the mind of /  skills of  / body of…
Mr Kat and I are so well suited that I can’t think of a single thing I would change.

Kat, your passion for life really is contagious. I'm going to be listening to 'your' song all day.  Your fridge reflects a true cook - when's lunch?  Enjoy life's surprises - guilt-free, yes, that's the best way. Thank you Kat. x

The Art of Living: Making Easter Plans

For planning half-term and the Easter bank holiday I can't live without the following resources. I confess my obsession with always having to know what is on and where!

Netmums is a  resource I use a lot as it has so much information for families.  I can always rely on Netmums for a recipe and to find out about places to go.  It also has good information about Playgroups, Nurseries, Pre-School Classes and After School Clubs, plus plenty of Easter craft ideas. A page that is also really handy is 101 things for Free Family Fun

The new site that has been rocking my world is childfriendlybrighton.  This is a site I was crying out for when my son was born and I wanted to go places, meet people, get involved and find out where exactly was child-friendly.  I'm guessing the Founder of the site Shoshana felt the same and thus created childfriendlybrighton. We are exteremely grateful! It really is incredibly useful as you can view events by date. So it's a case of saying ' oh what is happening on such and such a day' and click there you have it! Just take a look at the calendar page.
There's information on all the cafes, farms, parks, libraries as well as classes for all ages.  Makes me realise how much there is to do in Brighton and Hove and why I love living here! And if it's childcare you need Zoe at the Baby Rock Agency is the one to get in touch with.

For Londoners or visitors to London a copy of Time Out is essential when it comes to what's on in the capital - with things to do for kids as well as adults (though it's been a long time since I looked at the clubbing listings!).  When I first moved out of London I still subscribed to Time Out for years as I HAD to know everything that was happening even if I couldn't be there!

Another good mag to pick up is Angels & Urchins - a fantastic resource for places and ideas.  The website also has London what's on listings and features such as Easter Camps.  And I just spotted the Just so Stories at the Pleasance Theatre which is well-timed for our London visit.

Baby London is also great for London listings with a handy quick glance calendar alongside the events page.  There's Baby Surrey and Baby Hampshire too - great coverage of all the exciting events.

Daily Candy Kids is good to browse for inspiration and there's a London newsletter for news and events including fashion news. I've just received a newsletter this morning with dates of a Paul Smith Warehouse Sale which is a very tempting holiday shopping treat for me!

ABC magazine is a long-established free parenting magazine that covers EVERYTHING. The Sussex edition I can't do without.  You can check on the ABC website to find out where to pick up a copy that covers your local area.

Bambino Goodies is THE best place to discover childrens lifestyle and design news but also 'Cool Spots'and 'Hot Spots' in their Places to Go section.

If I've forgotten any essential online resources or if you have any tips to add, please do leave a comment.

Happy Easter holidays!
x
