Geometric Walls

Evoking a sense of fun for kids and adults alike we've gone colour crazy for this magnetic wallpaper with a bold geometrical print.  Creating a feature in any room of the home, adding colour through shape and pattern bringing a jolt of life to any space with its colourful diamonds and triangles.
Here's the science bit : the magnetic wallpaper is comprised of iron particles on a vinyl basis making it receptive to magnets. Simple yet genius.
Ideal for hanging drawings, notes and photographs the new designs of magnetic wallpaper are a stylish way to create your very own mood board at home; a daily keepsake of memories and treasured moments as well as favourite pictures and inspiring ideas. Not to mention the fun the kids would have creating their very own space for their treasures too.

Already in love with the chalkboard and animal print versions by the same Belgium label this new design has thrown my interior into a quandary.

The wallpaper measures 25 inch (63 cm) by 104 inch (264 cm) and can be hung vertically or horizontally to suit your room. Comes complete with hanging instructions and 8 geometric magnets.

Andrea Letterie

Every so often something magical happens, something unique and wonderful we almost burst with excitement. The collaboration between Rice DK and Dutch artist Andrea Letterie creates this very magic and has us cartwheeling into Spring with its blossoms of colour and enough quirky charm to please. Taking the wonderful work of Andrea Letterie and translating it into beautiful pieces for the home Rice DK make practical pretty and the pretty practical in a riotous fun and colourful way.

a note from Andrea Letterie (above) reads :

Everyday Life - That's the main theme in my work.  Whether it's a collection of teacups, built as a messy tower, my dog Bear or a large bunch of flowers picked from the garden....
Filled with colour and patterns.
I love to play with colour.
A painting should give you a happy feeling.
To me RICE is so full of colour and happiness, it's an honour that my designs are being used in their collection.
Andrea Letterie

We've fallen completely head over heals in love with this colourful collection created by Andrea Letterie and Rice DK. With illustrations of dahlias and dogs, rabbits and roses, vintage teacups and vases you'll discover pieces for your table, your picnics, your favourite spot on the sofa, your afternoon tea with friends and your walls.

House Doctor Dk - Optimism and Exuberance

House Doctor Dk gives a daily vitamin boost for a more stylish, more inspiring and more personal home. Believing in mixing up elements rather than matching them House Doctor brings a collection of  luxurious interior accessories and furnishings to help you create your own unique and personal space.

Established by three siblings; Rikke Juhl Jensen, Gitte Juhl Capel and Klaus Juhl Pederse, the family run interior design business boasts 35 passionate in house designers that are the resident House Doctors. Always with their fingers on the pulse, they have long been known as the trend leaders of the industry. Their renown relaxed and effortless style is seen in all of their effortlessly chic collections.

With an emphasis on natural materials, wood, metal and glass House Doctor mix these timeless elements together with contrasting hues, neon brights and the luxurious shine of copper.

The latest collection draws inspiration from the optimism of the 1950's and 1960's. The exuberant dynamic shapes of the 1950's alongside the Scandinavian colour trend has since become a firm and timeless favourite of all interior designers.  The Scandinavian colour scheme's influence of nature and the modern cubic and curved forms of the 50's give beautiful contrast. The revolutionary 60's saw technological advances enabling flexible varieties in the design world, think polished metal, moulded shapes, sensual forms, heavy yet weightless. With colours inspired from India and the mediterranean we see deep green and coral. Together these elements explored give a relaxed sophisticated and effortless style. Timeless.

House Doctor has long been a firm favourite of our own interior style and we thought it about time to share it all with you.

But a word of warning: House Doctor DK products are very habit forming and may cause rapid heartbeat - even in small doses.

Tuesday's Child

Hucklebones Spring / Summer 2013

On a Summer Breeze

Like Tuesdays child the Hucklebones girl is full of grace. She explores the world around her with curiosity and wonder as she takes in the sights and sounds of summer. Spring / Summer 2013 takes inspiration from the elegant beauty found in nature. The soft warm breeze on a sun drenched day, the lightness of a dandelion-seed being carried high, the ruffle of a feather or turn of a pinwheel.

The seasonal print evokes this mood depicting the sweep of starlings as they dance through the evening sky. Gusts of petals waltz across silken dresses and pop coloured blossoms are thrown merrily into the dance. 'On a Summer Breeze' celebrates that wonderful lightness that not only lifts the mood but puts a spring in our step as the season moves into summer.

Bobo Choses Petit Grocery SS13 Collection Is Here!

PETIT GROCERY JEAN GUSTAV

Jean Gustav has a grocer’s soul and an elephant’s body,
and all his customers know the taste of
a tomatoey tomato or
a carroty carrot or
an appley apple or
a lemony lemon
due to the simple but very important fact that they
buy their fruit and vegetables chez Jean Gustav.
When you open the door and go inside,
Jean Gustav tips his hat ‘hello’
and the smell of newly baked bread
takes you by the waist and follows you
up and down the aisles of the grocer’s shop...
Colours, shapes and flavours greet you, each with their own voice.
Every time someone bites into and savours
something from Jean Gustav’s,
they remember the kindly elephant with the grocer’s soul.
If you’re ever in the neighbourhood, go in and meet him.

Beautiful Play

Sometimes children's toys can be so beautiful they become an intrinsic part of the interior design despite it being by complete chance. Oh how we love the wonderful creations of Danish brand Maileg. Their instantly recognisable colours typical of Scandinavian design, the clean and simple lines, the immediate desire to hold and play. This is the magic of wonderfully, thoughtfully created toys.

Our collection of Maileg pieces is the biggest collection under one roof you'll find anywhere and this season we have lots of new designs about to added to the range.
The new bunnies this season will arrive in their pretty underwear and with an extensive range of clothing to fit each and every one you can decide on their wardrobe choices. There's a new height of bunny being added to the collection too.
We've made sure we have lots of the bunnies and rabbits as you already know them too, because we know how much they are adored and how difficult they are be to find.

To make sure you hear about the new collection as soon as they arrive sign up below

There'll Be Sunshine Everywhere

Today you can expect to see sunshine in the sky with a chance of rainbows in the South as the wind blows them across the sea for everyone to enjoy
Children have such a unique and quirky, playful and often charming point of view of the world which we love to immerse in. The designs of  Corby Tindersticks take us on this very poetic and playful journey into an interactive world of fun with their wonderfully crafted felt toys and illustrations.

Carly Gledhill is the new UK designer and founder of Corby Tindersticks (what a great name) who driven by her own need for a creative outlet is bringing to the world these fun, wholesome and and oh so stylish creative designs.
We love their 'far from the highstreet' vibe, their vibrant colours and unparalleled creations.
Carly's passion for the fun and colour is one we hold dear and we prize her ethos of looking after the environment and sourcing ethically too.

The long wait for the arrival of the hand sewn collection is over as we now welcome Corby Tindertsicks into Sisters Guild.
Take a look at Hip Hop Harold, Minty Macaronie, and the appliqued orange felt 'line up' . Designed for children and grown ups too, there are so many pieces to fall in love with, to play with, to cherish and enjoy and we are so happy to be part of it and share with you too.

Let Me Count The Days

With a wonderful selection of advent calenders from a Maileg Pixy disguised as Father Christmas to a garland of tie-bags, stockings and envelopes and even a delicious chocolate advent thanks to a collaboration between Maileg and the choclatiers Lindt, there's new traditions to begin and great ideas for little gifts as we count down the days, slowly, one by one in the expectant waiting and preparations for the festive fun and celebration of Christmas
Fill your advent with little treats and surprises; wrap up Christmas decorations to hang on the tree, invitations for festive games, sleigh-bell rides and snowball fights, print out colouring pages and dot to dots to fold into envelopes for a surprise to keep children busy, add sweet messages or gingerbread biscuits and small chocolates. The fun of counting down the days is all part of the festive fervour that is Christmas.

Winter Warmth

The colder days are creeping in and long gone are the bare legs and short sleeves. Or until another year at least. Autumn is showing its beautiful deep colours that seem to thaw the disapproval of a new season arriving and we surrender to its cool and blustery days.
Not wanting to completely let go of the summer that didn't seem to stay long this year, we're stubbornly wearing our summer dresses over long sleeved t-shirts and thick woolly tights, reluctant to let go. With warm cardigans and jumpers on top for that cosy layer we so need. For the first time this week we've been grabbing our winter coats, jackets and hats and with the bitter morning wind biting our hands we've got our gloves at the ready too.
So much do we love keeping cosy whether we're inside or out we've created a new category in the boutique with all our favourite 'winter warmers'........with pieces from ilovegorgeous, bobo choses, hucklebones, Dandy Star, waddler and Lucky Boy Sunday. There'll be more to add soon too as we welcome more designs so keep an eye out for news of new arrivals too.
