The Secret Garden & Hucklebones SS14

The humming sound of  buzzing of bees and sweet scent of soft blossoms were found in a secret walled garden, a quiet and enchanting place for the girls to skip, chatter and find spring flowers. Reflecting the light and whimsical nature of the collection these images capture the delight in youth that is found with a small place to explore the season.

Botanical Blooms & Honeycomb Balls

For celebrations big and small, children's rooms and everyday decor we love bright paper decorations. From honeycomb balls, paper fans, tissue paper pom poms and now pretty paper flowers these decorations effectively and easily and effortlessly transform any space. Combine different colours and sizes or mix shapes for a dramatic and beautiful display.

Ready to brighten up every house, party, kids bedroom and wedding. Hung up all year round inside either individually, in clusters or strung along like bunting, above a bed in a child's room, a brilliant display above a table, in the hallway or as a centre piece on a table grouped as a central cluster or as a runner peppered with pretty flowers.
If the weather permits hang them outside for garden parties and weddings, take them along to picnic parties and hang them from low tree branches for an air of festivity........ we can't get enough!

Les Gambettes - Ready to Wear Vintage

Discovering great design is such a joy. We've been a fan of Les Gambettes since their beginning. Bringing their pieces into our own homes we've loved their colours and classic design. Still very much in love we thought it about time to bring them into Sisters Guild boutique.

A collection of both childrens and adults furniture that marries both vintage charm and a fresh modern vibrancy through great design, colours and prints.  A nostalgic shape reminiscent of the school desks of our childhood, revisited with the fresh vibrancy of today. Les Gambettes reawaken a classic design shape and bring it to life with pops of colour and pattern. It's vintage but its ready to wear.

The story behind Les Gambettes is so fitting its easy to believe that it was always going to be...... it begins in the classroom. Two girls met on the school benches and became friends. After graduating they both enter the wortls of fashion and in 2011 they took their love of fashion, of colour, of textiles to begin a new adventure together and Les Gambettes was born.

Falling head over heels in love with everything about Les Gamebttes, their style, their ethos, their story and their passion shines through in their designs.

We applaud their vision and celebrate their designs and bring you our very first collection here in the boutique and what better way to begin than with a collection of limited edition designs in collaboration with mini labo.

Take a look at our collection here alongside the collaboration with mini labo who have dressed Suzie and little Suzie in their beautiful 'cache cache' print.

All about the birds...

Our spring mornings are full of birdsong, and now more than ever, and earlier than ever, the birds sing outside my window.  There's a large bush, a thicket, full of birds nests - it's a singing bush!
I wake (am woken) around 5.30 these days as my boys join in the dawn chorus!
Up with a lark, as they say!

So, yes, it's all about the birds....
joyful as they are and they make such beautiful motifs on candelabras, cards, garlands, cake toppers, tins, plates, baskets & more....

Easter Ideas --> This Way

Turning a lunch into a feast, a garden into a magical wonderland and a Sunday into silliness and celebration just requires a few tricks up your sleeve, or in this case a few free printables and easy crafts at the ready.
Here's some of our favourite finds that bring a touch of glopriumtousness helping to create a memorable Easter Sunday:

Flamingo Egg holders - Be it for breakfast, imagine a table setting of flamingos and swans and daisies ! Or lots of colourful flamingos and swans around the garden as part of the big hunt. We can't wait to put these glorious fun flocks amongst the daisies in our garden.
Glitter cake toppers - a simple diy: cut a bunny shape from card. stick it to a cocktail stick. cover with glue and sprinkle with glitter. Easy.
Bunny Cartons - fill with glitter, confetti, a sweet note, a scrum-diddly-yumptious something and give to someone wonderful.
Pipe cleaner bunny ring - Teach the kids to make these sweet bunny ear rings in six easy moves. It'll beat grandpas chocolate coin behind the ear trick!
Bunny pillow box - a great free printable to fill with treats.
Lacing card chicks - when calm and quiet is required, and lets face it there will be madness, or to keep little hands busy while the Easter Hunt is being prepared these lacing cards will do the trick. Having at the table will make even the most fidgety of kids still.
Bunny ear treat bags - I've used these for themed birthday parties and everyone loved them. with a little ribbon and some little sugar eggs they're great for gifts as well as prizes or a collecting bag along the hunt.
Printable bunting! - Oh yes. Particularly sweet hung along a white picket fence but even along a washing line is beautiful.
Printable cards - I love these vintage style pencil drawings. Adjusting the size of the image when printing means you can create postcards, folded cards, place settings and even staple to string or ribbon for bunting.
Egg balloons - Imagine these scattered across the garden or tied to each chair. We love these.

Hang them from the trees, the washing line, create a burst of colour above the table ready for a feast or in amongst the flowers in the garden - available in lots of colours and 3 different sizes. Find them Here
Melamine tea set - we love this set of cups & saucers for a little-big-grown-up tea party. Throw a blanket on the grass and let the children have their own playful feast together. Here
Yellow stoneware pie dish - whether its for a savoury or a sweet this pie dish will help to show it off at its best... even better if gifting with a homemade yummy of some kind inside! Here

Ceramic plate & cup set -  a beautiful surprise to discover on the breakfast table and a perfect gift as an alternative to chocolate. Though you could always hide a chocolate egg inside the cup too! Here

Hot Yoga Here We Come

via Pinterest

As winter draws to an end it feels like the body and mind is thawing, loosening and feeling lighter, with the promise of spring.

March for me brings the need to move, to ditch the woollen socks and seek out those cotton layers once again. Reaching into the warmth of the sunlight we go....

Perfectly timed for the close of winter is a weekend retreat that's all about the heat!
A Hot Yoga Weekend - an absolute draw for the pure physical experience and a retreat, an escape from the everyday, and a release from all that makes my shoulders hunch up, including the cold and rain of these past months.

For the Hot Yoga Weekend you can arrive in a splendid Somerset country house, Sparkford Hall, on a Friday evening and awake to embrace 2 days of Hot Yoga,  Meditation, walks in the woodland, fine food and healthy juices, a library and a log fire, and depart on Sunday evening revitalised and ready for the newness of Spring with a healthier energised you.

Yes please, I'm in!

The Hot Yoga Weekend is the first adventure into Somerset for Bikram Yoga Chiswick and Bikram Yoga Surbiton, founded by Helen Currie.  It's the only Hot Yoga Weekend in the UK.

Helen offers instruction for those new to Bikram Yoga and over 15 years of experience to give to those wishing to deepen their practice. Read more here

With a lovely team hosting the weekend, giving those extra details and delicious locally sourced food, it will be an experience for all the senses.
