New! Geometrical Love

Wallpaper adds a great touch of colour to any room and a little strip of wallpaper adds a wonderful focal point to any room, but when its also magnetic... then the fun really begins.
These new Geometric designs are the latest creations that form a fantastic collection of magnetic wallpapers. Three new arrivals in three beautiful colours each available in 2 different sizes we’re utterly in love with their natural hues and vibrant edge and thrilled to announce ‘they’re here!’

\
Each kaleidoscopic roll measures 265 cm in height (or length depending on how you like it!) and is printed with shades of blues, of reds or greens. Their natural colours soften the geometrical angles whilst their colours seem to shimmer like dappled sunlight.
Available in 2 widths you can choose the impact by size as well as colour and place. We love these colours in childrens rooms above a desk or by the bed in easy to reach places to stick favourite pictures and photos and little notes, in studies & hallways-turned-home-office for those endless ‘to-do’s’ and constant inspiration, in kitchens for favourite recipes, shopping lists, little love notes, and photos and along the hallway to catch the pieces of proud artwork brought home from school and photos of favourite faces.

Light Up My Life

Nostalgic and poetic, molecular and architectural, stars, pineapples and baby bunnies. Lighting is a great way to create different areas and separate, subdivide or anchor particular spaces or to accentuate a favourite spot.

Desk lights and task lights sat upon a stack of book on a side table, used in the home office or as an alternative bedside lamp. Lights for creating a cosy atmospheric reading nook with a big comfy chair.
Sculptural lights that intrigue the eye with their architectural shapes and industrial edge make big impacts in all sizes of rooms; hung low above a side table, central above a kitchen island or taking centre stage in the main room.

Our small but perfectly curated collection of lighting is growing ever bigger as we fall in love with new designs and discover more of the great designers across the globe. The lighting area of the shop has now been given a proud place of its own showing off all the great styles, functionality and beauty of each design.

Piña Colada's!

In love with the Piña Colada Lamp

Could anything be more fun! We love these lamps and we’re so pleased to present them to you.
Designed by Eva Newton these contemporary lights have been created to fit any and all interior styles. A beautiful addition to the fun and the often unexpected elements of the collection of lighting that we’ve come to know from the Goodnight Light Studio.
Boasting its tiny imperfections, organic symmetry and natural beauty the pineapple lamp adds a playful splash of colour and ambience to any room. Nostalgic but nonetheless contemporary, its the prefect twist that makes decorating interiors a ‘dreamlike poetry’.

Though perfect for family spaces and cosy corners, desks, bedside tables, book shelves and kitchen counter tops Lorena Canals and Eva Newton believe that “great design isn’t just for adults to enjoy”, and with fun elements, nostalgic colours and pops of colour their designs appeals to both kids and grown ups;  an “invitation to the imaginary”.

We love how the lamps reveal a whole new ambience in the evening, with a warm tropical glow.

Welcome The World Of Mini Empire

I’m so happy to be welcoming our newest collection into the guild. A collection of illustrations and playful designs that are treasures to keep and invitations to a world where the familiar meets the imaginative, a world created by Jenny von Döbeln.

With enchantng patterns and rich detail Jenny’s ‘illustrations are distinguished by storytelling’, bridging a world of her own creation with familiar characters there is always a touch of surrealism.

‘Another birdsnest’  an idea of an imaginary home. Inspired by memories of childhood, climbing in trees, and the love of old beautiful architechture.

‘Deep woods’ inspired by the wildlife in the ancient woods of Sweden

‘The pear’ inspired by old folkloric patterns and embroidery

It is designs like these that get me excited about design for children. Designs that give life to imagination, that push its borders and give everlasting memories of the most treasured part of our lives.

When first I saw the collection I fell. I fell into each picture like Alice down the rabbit hole. Another world on paper and one I knew I wanted for my own childrens’ walls as well as mine. The pictures hung on in our home that we journey into, the ones that will become part of our playful world, and give stories to our imaginations. Treasured and passed down.

Searching for pieces that uphold our own values we bring this collection of well considered pieces that bring the aesthetic and design we look for for ourselves and give to our own children.

Inspiring home of Camilla Ebdrup

Have you ever wondered what the home of creative designers look like. I do. I was so intrigued to see what the home of one of our favourite design team looks like and what inspires their space. These images of the home of Camilla Ebdrup - one half of Lucky Boy Sunday, her husband Andrea Stenmann and their son Sigurd shows a relaxed space with plenty of light, a mix of modern and vintage with some truely unique pieces that add to it's charm. An inspired and inspiring elysian family home where the individual personalities flourish with their own collections and style.

Take a look at more images over and read all about it here as well as discover where they find they style and inspiration.

The Art of Living: Bath Stone Bowls

I recently discovered an old Bath acquaintance of mine is the maker of some rather beautiful bowls. Actually, they are not just bowls, they are fine vessels to marvel at.   Hand-made by Warwick Borsay in distinctive Bath stone these are unique pieces to grace the modern home.

The ellipse is such an evocative shape - combine that with the weight of Bath stone and something quite stunning is created.  This is a collection that reflects the heritage of Bath.  Below are the Egg Cups, Small Ellipse and Lunar (my favourite).

Discover the Warwick Borsay collection here

This is part of the Art of Living series of posts that bring you all the things that spark our passion for people, places, travel, food, design and home.
